I woke up a little before 9 am. I went with oats, blueberry Greek yogurt and chia seeds for my morning meal.
The morning was slightly intense but I need not go into that today. Key point, my snack consisted of almonds and a cheese stick.
I made my way to the gym and did some core work and shoulder action. Followed by a long sit in the sauna. Normally when I'm in the sauna I just sit and listen to music and mind my own beeswax until I'm done. That's usually how it goes for most women in there, unlike in movies where the ladies are always wrapped in towels gathered round and gossiping. Today however was different. I made a new friend in the sauna :) We talked for about thirty minutes and it made the time fly. It wasn't until she told me that she sits in there for ONE HOUR EVERY DAY that I realized she must have to talk to distract herself from the fact that she is melting to death. One hour seems like an awfully long time. I did a little research and found that it's normally recommended that one only stays in there for 15-20 minutes.
I came home and made a very veggiful egg white omelet. Filled with eggplant (yep, eggplant again :p), peppers and pepper jack cheese. I had some cottage cheese on the side as well.
I proceeded to then crash on the couch for a while and watched an episode of PLL. Dinner consisted of baked chicken, sweet potato wedges and crinkle cut cooked carrots. Safe to say I got my beta carotene in today!
The late night snack consisted of a protein shake. Well this on was more like a smoothie. I've never made this one before but I'm oh so glad I did. I used almond milk, frozen strawberries, pineapple and mango, and one scoop of vanilla protein powder. It was great! It was very thick too so it was almost like eating a blizzard or something. I even used a spoon :)
